After a pair of action-packed races at Brands Hatch, the PCGB Paddock remains on British soil for rounds 13 & 14.
Located in the beautiful and rolling Cheshire countryside, Oulton Park is a dream for both drivers and spectators, packing 12 corners into its modest 2.8 mile length.
Built in the 1950s on the Oulton Estate, the circuit undulates with the surrounding countryside and provides a stern and rewarding test for drivers, and was soon attracting the top drivers to the annual “Oulton Park Gold Cup” where it hosted races for Formula One, Formula Two, Formula 5000 as well as sports cars.
These days the circuit hosts both club & national-level racing such as the British Touring Car and British GT championships, whilst the Gold Cup maintains its traditional Easter date on the racing calendar.
After a brace of 3rd place finishes at Brands Hatch, 11.Tenths driver Mark Baxter-Jones enters the race meeting on a strong run of form as he pushes for 3rd place in the championship. Lady luck has not been kind to Johnny Elia this season, and he will be hoping to get the results his pace deserves.
