Drivers Mark Baxter-Jones and Johnny Elia took part in the inaugural iRacingUK Porsche Cup Challenge race on Sunday, along with fellow 11.Tenths endurance team drivers. Sixty drivers took part in a 20-minute heat race format, which leads to a 30-minute feature race. MBJ put it on pole, ahead of PorscheSport driver Gavin Halls by only a few hundredths in qualifying. Baxter-Jones came 2nd in his heat and finished 3rd in the feature race, with Elia just behind, finishing 6th in his heat and 9th in the feature. Both drivers scoring some solid points for the first round of the championship.

Colin Wynn, in the number 4 car, finished 24th after some unfortunate incidents. Paul Stout, in the 37 car, received a nudge from behind, ultimately losing his race. The no. 80 car driven by Oliver Carwardine finished in 23rd place. A strong result for Byron Crawford in his number 12 machine, finishing in 13th place.

For the next round of the iRacingUK Porsche Cup Challenge, we will be heading back to the UK for Round 2, which will be Snetterton 300 in a few weeks.
