The Simple Overlay application for iRacing that literary does what it says on the tin. Sometimes, the display on the steering wheel is too small to read, or it gets chopped off at the bottom of your screen, and that’s if you are lucky enough that the steering wheel even displays it. Most of the time, cricual data is nowhere to be seen apart from the black box, which you can’t have displayed at the same time with the relative black box – fustrating, right! So here is an ultra-lightweight, no thrills, simple overlay application. Simply drag the info to where you want and make it as big or small as you like.
Get Started:
When you first load the application, the 11Tenths Window Manager will open, but it will be minimised in the taskbar. You will need to open this to create your overlay. In the 11Tenths Window Manager, click the Brake Bias Overlay button. This will randomly place the overlay on your screen. You can now move, resize, and close it if necessary.
Move Overlay:
To move the overlay, click on the long semi-transparent bar at the bottom of the overlay and drag it to your desired location.
Resize Overlay:
To resize the overlay, simply click and drag the bottom right-hand cover of the overlay.
Close Overlay:
If you are required to close the overlay, simply click the semi-transparent box to the far left of the bar at the bottom of the over.
Saving Position & Size:
Once you are happy with the location, it’s time to save its position and size. To do this, you must make sure to close the application from the 11Tenths Window Manager. When saved, when you reopen the app, the overlay should show up when you left it, and the 11Tenths Window Manager is minimised ready, so you don’t need to do anything.
