We are now halfway through the winter 21/22 season, and it’s been a wild one in both the Porsche Club GB Championship and Sim3D GT Series Championship!
Sim3D GT Series Presented by FTR eSports
A strong start for the 11.Tenths GT3 team who took their first win in GT3 AM at the 4 Hours of Zolder, the first round of the championship. Unfortunately, the team got caught out at the Red Bull Ring, where after 4 hours, they finished in third place, dropping them to second in the championship.
Drivers Mark Baxter-Jones, Johnny Elia and Byron Crawford, regrouped and put in the time for the third round, which was 6 hours of Spa. They came out on top after a very dramatic race, they took a 40 second stop and go penalty early in the race to then moving up to first place on the second from the last lap! After two wins, the team now sits top of the GT3 AM table of the Sim3D GT Series Championship Presented by FTR eSports.
It’s been a tough start to the GT Series for the sister Porsche GT3 Cup car, with drivers not being able to attend. However, we saw driver Colin Wynn take on the full 4 hours at XXXXXXX. As winter kicks in, we will see the full team back together for the remainder of the season.
